Andy’s practice is primarily focused on helping individuals, business owners, and Fortune 500 companies resolve conflicts arising from contract disputes, property disputes, and tort claims, as well as pursuing financial recoveries from property or proceeds in which they have an interest. Andy is a results driven problem solver, working with clients to align legal representation with the client’s goals and objectives.
To Andy, communicating clear, direct advice to clients up front is key to meeting client goals and objectives and providing quality work product. When first engaged as counsel, Andy works to understand the story behind the story, applying facts to law and providing options and potential outcome scenarios, and the associated costs to get there. This approach maximizes the potential for achieving the best result possible, timely, and in the most cost-effective manner.
Over more than twenty years of practice, Andy has gained significant courtroom experience, having been lead counsel in numerous civil jury trials in counties throughout Texas, with many of those cases exceeding $1 million in controversy. Andy has also successfully written motions and presented successful oral arguments in Texas courts disposing of cases on the law on behalf of his clients. As an effective problem solver, Andy also has a proven track record of working favorable solutions without trial by effectively negotiating resolutions out of court throughout his career. In addition, Andy often acts as local counsel for many out of state firms who rely upon his guidance and extensive knowledge of the Texas courts and legal community.
Andy’s work ethic and legal acumen have not only won him the respect of his clients and colleagues, but also numerous awards, including an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell and D Magazine’s list of Best Lawyers in Dallas (2012).
